What have we got below? Well it looks like a map to me.
It is a map, Tiz a map of the South West of England (and a funny little place called Wales)
So why be I showing you a map of this part of the world?
Well because I wanted to, and seeing as it my likkle place to put my likkle thoughts I can do. So there (now imagine an owl sticking its tongue out and that’s my face now!)
Anyway, each of the little red dots, is a place (WOW). They are places I’ve visited recently. The list includes various visits to the land of sheep, (Milford Haven, Cardiff & Usk),
Cornwall (the land of scones and cream and jam) – Falmouth & Launceston
Bath, Bristol, Chippenham, London, Dorset, Oxford, Banbury, Telford and loads of other places as well. Take a look………………………………………..
Next week I’ll be heading to the Netherlands so there will be lots of photos and posts for yous all.
Bye bye for now
TWEETY TWEETY TWOO WOO.
Hello there my nonfeathered friends, how have you all been keeping over the last *too many months* since I last wrote to you?
I’ve been silly busy no time in my nest & lots of time flapping round work in different places which just became mental!!
So what have I done? Well the normal – eating Cream Teas,
and thanks to my cinema ticket – POPCORN!!!
Yes breaking News, Owls like Popcorn and anyone who claims otherwise is lying and wrong…… Owls don’t always like films and sometimes fall asleep in them but Owls do like popcorn!
Along with that I’ve been working hard, some of the photos of me working I’m not allowed to post as it annoys my managers (☹) so I’ll only be able to post this one of my in my car as an event medic, can you spot me?
And today where am I? well I started off in Bath (England) after work and then drove over to Heathrow airport where I leaped onto this plane to fly over to Vienna to see a friend and talk Cricket stuff!
Anyway about to take off!! I’ll write soon and this summer will keep you upto date with what I do!!
Morning all (not sure what time of day or night it is, I’m too busy to tell at the moment),
How are my non-feathery friends holding up in the recent rain? I’ll be honest, I’m fed up of the rain. I’m in Scotland at present working with the Dutch Women’s cricket team. However there is very little cricket happening due to all the rain! Which is a shame.
However at least I did have cricket just before I came up here to the Northern part of the North in the middle of nowhere near anywhere! The cricket I did last week was in a place called Reigate (7 hours South of this part of the North) where I was working for CricX, doing my usual scoring and adding in some video work!
What else have I been doing? Well travelling around alot as is expected – my wings are very tired so I am glad I have brought a new nest which I am finishing setting up and moving into!! That’s very exciting.
Anyway travel near
And Travel Far….
So I ended up in the Netherlands
as well as Switzerland and Jersey where I was working as both a Scorer and Umpire which of course meant that I ended up in the pub a few times which is always a good place to be in my opinion…..
As well as the cricket travel I have also been away having some other fun. Which in my world means……..
Oh, what would a summer be without Cream Tea? Answer – awful. So I have made sure that throughout my travels I have been investing in cream teas, the one above was in Yorkshire, the one below is in the shop in the Lake District.
And on top of all my travels I have also been working hard.
I’m now a Security Owl. Using my “hawk like eyes” I’ve been keeping an eye on everyone at the places I work. Sometimes it’s easier (like in the day time). Other times when I work at night it can be a touch harder to see anything
Anyway it’s now sleep time again!! Night night
Well hello there, you there? Are you? Sorry despite being a wise old I’ve misplaced one of my pairs of glasses so can’t see properly…. Let me look for them!!
Found them, silly me
Anyway it has been such a long time since I spoke to any of you so let me talk you through some of my adventures recently (and by recently I mean over the whole of the last summer!)
So in no particular order…
For the observant amongst you or those with their glasses on and wits about them) you may notice I was on a train!!! YAY Little Owl likes trains. Well this wasn’t just any train. It was a special train. (it was blue and called “Thomas the Tank Engine” (oh sorry that’s me going back to my little owl childhood), no this train was big and fast and loud and taking me from London to Brussels for me to change onto another train to go to Rotterdam. The train goes through France under the sea! So exciting!!! (Did you know Owls eat Frogs? I’d better be careful not to eat too many people as we pass through France!) And the reason for my trip? Well of course it’s for cricket.
Right lets show you all the photos of some of the other places have travelled this summer.
I’ve been to Stockholm (which for those of you needing colouring-in lessons, *Cough, Geography, Cough* is In Sweden), where I am doing yet another cricket tournament.
I’ve also been all over England (or more correctly the United Kingdom) with cricket this summer including
- Northamptonshire (at least a few times),
- High Wycombe/Wormsley
- Colwall (near Malvern)
- Radley College,
- LORDS cricket Ground London,
And that’s not even everywhere!
For work I went to North Wales which included
- Conway Castle,
- Barmouth Beach
One and final photo…
CREAM TEA, yes even when being a very busy little Owl I still found time to get in some cream teas!!
YUM YUM Well with cricket rained off, I was a sad little Owl 😦 so I came into Faringdon and found myself a cream tea!!! Now I’m a happy Owl
Twoo Twoo Twooy Tweeter
Hello All, How are you? I’m hoping you are well. Sorry that I have been away for so long. Unlike most owls I hibernated this year and had to find myself a nice new nest, as my old one fell apart, (sad little owl 😦 ) However I found a nice new one, so I’m now a happy owl.
And then this week I am back out in Jersey for another Cricket Tournament. Where – assuming the rain stops – I will be back out getting more trips in, however if the rain carries on I will be stuck in my room, avoiding getting my feathers wet.
See you soon 🙂
Have you missed your favourite little feathery friend? Of course you have. So I’m back with more photos of places I’ve been over the last few months when I haven’t been around!!
I’ve been very busy – including making my new nest more comfortable, travelling for more cricket, including at the World Cricket League Div 6 in Essex, watching games at Lords, working to earn money (mice aren’t all that nice to eat at all times!).
And I also recently spent a day in Bath with some friends. Why? Well Why not – so there.
Anyway this little Owl still needs time to sleep so be good all and I’ll be back when I have some more travel sorted.
Don’t forget to follow my “twitter” feed as I post on their more often!! 😛
Hello everyone. How is it in your nests? Well let me tell you what it is like for me… I’m in a new nest where I’ve only just got internet. A brand new nest for me in a new area, in the countryside where the noisiest thing I hear is a local Peacock!! Anyway alongside my moving home, I’ve been up and down the country with cricket, so how about some photos? Sounds like a plan…
Now I have also been to many more places but haven’t got those photos with me 😥 But keep an eye out I’ll be back and I’ll keep you posted now I have internet.
Hello my feathery readers. How we all doing on this lovely summers evening??
Well I’m doing very well. I’m currently sitting in a very nice hotel in a little place called Jersey.. A lovely little island about 1 hour south of the UK by flight from Gatwick..
I’m here on a Cricket tour working for the ICC and CricHQ as a scorer, (basically being paid to sit in the sun, watch cricket and make a record of the match for others to view)!!
So lets give you a looksie at some photos.
But it seems like the Jersey flag has nicked the England Lions!!
Anyway that’s all for now, I need to think about sleep so I’m ready for a full day of action tomorrow, however I’ll be back and posting over the next few days… I have a day off on Monday (hopefully) so may get a chance to visit some non cricket based places!! Be good all. Tweet Tweet
Its been a month since I posted!! 😮 that’s dreadful of me, and I apologise for that. But that’s because I’ve been a very busy owl. Anyway lets give you an update.
I should say all these photos are in reverse order with the newest at the top for some reason….
Anyway I need to go now as I’m in the process of moving house and also off to Jersey tomorrow for cricket. FUN FUN FUN.
